Assam : The Land of Red River and Blue Hills

Arunachal Pradesh : The Land of the Rising Sun

Nagaland : The Vibrant Hill State of India

Meghalaya… as the name suggests is actually the abode of clouds. A clear sky is a rare sight in this state. Names like Cherapunji and Mawsynram have earned a name of wettest place on the earth. Other than this Meghalaya is famous for its Orchids and tribes which follow the matriarchal suit of life. Music and dance is the soul of the people of Meghalaya. Shillong, the capital of the state was once chosen as the hill station by the British, reminiscent of which are still present in this small town.
